Analysis and vibratory monitoring systems

Online systems have two  functions :

• Safety : If the dynamic behavior of the monitored equipment changes, the system can provide information or shut down the equipment. To do this, the XM range monitors synchronous, real-time data. These systems are essential when operating turbo-machinery but, as they do not collect the data, they will preserve the machinery in the case of a fault but will not provide insight as to the cause. • Maintenance : The goal is to inform the maintenance technician of wear and degradation in the system so it can be rectified once a threshold level has been exceeded and before it can develop into a defect. As we are monitoring the evolution of measured parameters over time, the concepts of real-time and synchronous data are useless. The maintenance function targets the origin of the breakdown of a strategic machine by actioning preventative maintenance once the data level exceeds threshold levels set by experts. These thresholds are of course lower than the thresholds programmed into a systems with the safety function. For maintenance function we offer the ENWATCH coupled with the Odyssey software.
