Functional specifications :

The functional specifications of a testing room must integrate the following points :

• Type of tests to be realized,

• Type of measurements (pressure, intensity, holography, etc ...) and in which type of field (free, reverberated, close or far away),

• Anechoicity criteria of,

• Background noise Criteria.

All these points will enable us to choose the type of room and the standard of measurement most adapted to the functional specifications (NF IN ISO 3740 Acoustique july 2001 - Determination of the levels of sound power emitted by the sources of noise - Guide for the use of basic standards).

Test rooms :

The test rooms being the subject of a standard are the following ones :

• Reverberation rooms NF EN ISO 3741 November 2009

• Test room with hard walls NF EN ISO 3743-1 December 2009

• Special reverberating room NF EN ISO 3743-2 December 2009

• Room with free field and reflective plan NF EN ISO 3744 November 2009

• Anechoic and semi-anechoic rooms NF EN ISO 3745 November 2009

• Room with an enveloping measurement surface above a reflective plan NF EN ISO 3746 November 2009
